Modified Mafia Tour at County Line Up Next
ELM CITY, N.C. (03/05/25) – Austin Holcombe recorded a pair of victories in his Modified this past week in the North Carolina Speedweek at Fayetteville Motor Speedway aboard his Prime Electrical Solutions No. 8A Owens Construction / Lethal Chassis Modified.
The Elm City, North Carolina resident followed up a flag-to-flag triumph in Wednesday’s feature with a clean sweep of Thursday’s program.
“It’s been a fantastic week for our team,” Holcombe reflected. “Although we faced some mechanical challenges on Saturday, I’m really happy we were able to secure two wins. We have an amazing group of supporters behind this car, and I can’t thank them enough. I’m already looking forward to the race at County Line in a couple of weeks.”
Holcombe’s North Carolina Speedweek at Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway kicked off on Wednesday, with the home-state racer solely piloting his 602 Modified for the first two rounds of the four-race week.
In a near-perfect display during the first two rounds, Holcombe dominated both features, capturing a pair of $600 paydays on Wednesday and Thursday.
He led flag-to-flag in both A-Mains to secure a commanding win in each race.
As the weekend approached, Austin competed in two divisions on Friday, recording a runner-up finish in the Modifieds before finishing 21st in the Street Stock feature.
Holcombe wrapped up the North Carolina Speedweek on Saturday evening, but his bid for a third victory of the week was derailed by mechanical issues in his No. 8A Modified.
